Description

I finished this up in June, but didn't post it. =\
I was still sorting out my emotions of my mother's death, so my fursona was also in mourning.

Enigma's Story:
Enigma stopped; she could feel something was different. There seemed to be some emptiness in the universe. It was a small presence in relation to eternity, but it was powerful in her heart.
She had memories of when she was just a pup, surrounded by warmth and feeling safe. She could see the love and care in her mother's eyes.
Enigma panicked and made a wormhole to take her to where her mother was. Nothing could stop the flood of tears as her heart pounded and lungs burned. Questions that could never be answered filled her mind. It felt like the sky that would always be there had crashed to the ground, leaving nothing but a vast, never-ending hole.
She had understood the finite existence of life, that all things would eventually die, but somehow it felt too soon.
When she managed to reach the place of her mother, Enigma could see how her own mother had impacted the lives of many. There were all sorts of creatures, even the most unlikely for a mother fox. Enigma looked at the cats and rabbits and others that were without a mother figure that they had taken in as their own family. There were even sheep and a stallion that considered her mother as a second mom. When they all saw Enigma sitting by a tree all by herself, they walked over to her and hugged her, not speaking, but sharing the same pain that weighed heavy on her heart.
Enigma cried the brokenness of her very heart. She cried until she was so exhausted that she fell into a deep slumber.
